Day 28 Nairobi
26.01.2012
Jules writes:
Early the next morning, Dad and John headed through to Nairobi, John to pick up a package from South Africa, and Dad to try and find some riding pants to replace the ones he had lost in Malawi.
With the bike work all done, Shan and I spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon reading, writing, swimming, playing guitar and just
generally relaxing. The other two returned around 3 PM, neither had had any success in their tasks. Shan took Amanda for a bike ride around the plantation, and after a meal of chicken pita’s that Shan and I prepared we stayed up late again chatting, making plans to maybe do a 2 month bike ride around the USA with Jerrod and Amanda in 2015. Once the bug bites…![]()
A big thank-you must again go out to Billy, Darleen, Jerrod and Amanda for inviting us into their beautiful home and allowing us a chance to regain our composure and sanity. We hope we will have a chance to return the favour if you are ever in Cape Town in the future.

We LOVED having you with us for a few days! I love your blog and will be following your journey! Tell the gang hello from the Carpenter’s
